These nutty bliss balls are based on almonds, cashews and brazil nuts which are fantastic sources of zinc, calcium, Vitamin E and good fats. This means they will help support your nervous system and hormone production. Did you know two brazil nuts per day alone will help you meet your daily intake of selenium?
Then there are the sesame seeds – who knew these little guys had so much goodness in them? They are a great source of essential minerals such as calcium, manganese, iron, zinc, magnesium, selenium and copper. They also assist with red cell and hormone production and bone mineralization.
Simply roll, freeze to set and enjoy!
Ingredients:
½ cup of nut butter (almond, brazil, cashew spread or individual nut butters work well too)
1 tbsp of maple syrup
2 tsp of coconut flower nectar (optional, but recommended)
3 tbsp of coconut oil, melted
½ cup of coconut flour
½ cup of quinoa flakes
2 tbsp of sesame seeds
6 squares of 75% dark chocolate (chopped into chunks)
Method:
Mix all of your dry ingredients in a bowl together (quinoa flakes, sesame seeds and coconut flour).
Add in your wet ingredients (coconut flower nectar, maple syrup).
Mix together your ingredients until a cookie dough texture forms. I like to use my hands to do this so it mixes together more evenly.
Roll into bite size balls and refrigerate. These babies will keep in the fridge for up to five days!
